Who Am I????

in society today race is an existing issue. most poeple are judged on how they look and their ethnicity instead of who they are on the inside. some people dont even know their family background. me, i am African American. Both of my parents are black. but i would like to research my history. i want to know if my ancestors were slaves and got whooped by their slave masters. or if somewhere down the line that a slave master raped my ancestor and created a mullato baby, which wuld explain why me and my grandmother( my fathers mother and my mother mother) are very light skinned. these are the questions that i would like to have answered.

Movies

i absolutely love movies!!!!!I stay in the house alot and mostly i be by myself so i watch tv often. i love to watch tyler perry movies and plays. they are hilarious!! the only thing i dont like is all the singing that they do in the plays. like i really dont think its neccessary. but newho, sorry to digress off the topic ( big word lol). my all time favorite movie is Love & Basketball. Oh.My.Gosh. i can watch that movie over and over and over. i think that Sanaa Lathan is gorgeous and she makes anybody look good ( like me lol just playing).

Music For Love

“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.” I love listening to music where ever i go. you can always catch me with some headphones in my ear or singing something i just heard.my favorite male artist right now are trey songz and drake. not only is their music good but they are fineeee lol. my favorite female artist are nicki minaj,monica, and lil kim. i love when artist use metaphors in their music it makes you think.

My Review for Betty Crocker

Today in computer class we were given an assignment because Ms Williams was not here. we have to pick a web link that was listed and write a review about it. i picked the link; Betty Crocker. I picked it because i love food and i could pick up a few recipes to take home to my mommy ( cause im sure not cooking it j/p). on the website you can find many different types of recipes for dinner, lunch, snacks, etc. they tell you precise measurements, prep time, cook time, and they even tell you what goes well with it. i like sooooo love that!

A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste. Lol

i absolutely luvvvvv to read! i know it seem's like soo odd because what teenager loves to read right? but i can spend the whole day reading and not have a problem with it. I really enjoy like older/ urban books that my mother use to read. I even remember the first urban book i ever read. it was called Me and My Boyfriend by Keisha Erving and i was nine years old. i use to sneak and read it at night or when i was alone in the house because i knew my mother would not want me reading her books. after a while i just got hooked. i started taking all her books and i just couldnt put them down.i really enjoy Triple Crown Publications books. some of the older books i read are Black, True to the Game 1,2,& 3, Harlem Girl Lost, and White Lines, just to name a few. i do like to read books in my age bracket too. i really love the Drama High series. i guess that i like to enter other people thoughts thru reading.
